Hair loss may affect both men and women due to a variety of reasons and therefore we would advise having a detailed consultation in order to find out the cause of hair loss which would enable us to help you chose the most suitable treatment.

The majority of men suffering from hair loss suffer from the androgenic type, commonly called male pattern baldness. In women, the causes can vary from the use of traction used in certain hairstyles and hair accessories to hormonal imbalance, illnesses, deficiencies, hence the management needs to be tailored on an individual basis. We would advise hair transplant surgery in women only if we feel that the hair loss would be best resolved by the procedure.

Hair transplant is not the ideal treatment for everyone, in some patients medications or other options might be more appropriate. When you consult us, we’ll make sure you have enough time to address all your hair concerns, in order to make a bespoke treatment plan.

We only offer FUE (Follicular unit extraction) hair transplant procedure at present, but if we feel you are better suited for FUT or would benefit more from FUT (follicular unit transplantation) procedure, then you will be signposted accordingly. FUT is also known as the strip procedure, where in, a strip of skin with hair follicles is taken from the back of the scalp, this procedure leaves behind a linear scar.
